Brandi Image Photography » your timeless love, elegantly captured.

Usually I wouldn’t label this a Lifestyle Session, but for these Florida girls, the beach is where it’s at! Building sand castles, playing in the surf, running the sandbars, or reading stories in the sand, they love it all!

This family holds a dear place in my heart. I’ve been photographing them for a few years now and they are always a highlight on my calendar. Their sweet girls are always so incredibly loving and happy with each other and mom, Katie, always makes a special effort to make them look their cutest (which we know is not difficult)! She also strives to make each session unique and today was no different! The girls had coordinating, sweet dresses for each change and a BUBBLE MACHINE! This killed me! The light we had in the morning on the nearly deserted beach created the best possible scenario for their session.

I am so thankful for every piece that came together to allow them to be in front of my camera, with spectacular weather, a calm day and sweet dispositions. These are my favorites from their morning in the dunes. I hope you enjoy- I know they did!

Family portraits are often a cause for SO MUCH STRESS! I mean, I get it, it’s usually only done once a year or two, or ten (please don’t do this!), so the pressure is on. What to wear? Where should we go? What time of day? Will the kids behave? Lots of questions and unknowns so it can feel like another task to complete instead of a fun time of playing and making memories. This family, however, made it seem absolutely easy. We had so much fun exploring North Shore Park and the arboretum, laughing all the way.

Their kiddos were so sweet, playful, loving and wonderful the entire time. Not even one meltdown, push, negative word, or ounce of defiance. Absolutely unheard of! Just check these final portraits out, all smiles, so much laughter, and more love than you can shake a stick at! I can’t wait to photograph them again (hopefully sooner than later).

So hello! It’s 2021 and I couldn’t be happier to say goodbye to 2020. Yes, we had more family days and I took the time to get really healthy again so there’s all amazing things there but whew- I think we can all agree that 2020 was overall- a mess. Except for a few sessions we were able to do, including this engagement session.

Overall, a mess, yes, with some sweet bright spots and this session was absolutely one of the sweetest! We were just able to beat the rain and create gorgeous images for Alice & Timon’s engagement session. Set in Philippe Park, we played and explored and they snuggled in tight, it was perfect! I love this location for the trees, paths, hills and water views. It truly has everything a couple would want for green, warm, and usually sunny photos. Did I mention the moss in the trees? Magical! The stone stairways? Picturesque! Her white lace dress? Exquisite! And the blue suede heels?? Ok, you get the idea, but seriously!

We had so much fun and I am thrilled to have been able to capture this wondrous time in their lives. Thank you Alice and Timon for having me!

I hope you all enjoy their engagement session!

The sunshine city offers so many beautiful places for you to elope! I’m making the trips around town to photograph each one for you (well, when I can get back out that is). Before we started the Covid-19 lockdown, I was able to get to these first three of the best places to plan your intimate ceremony. Granada Terrace, Coffee Pot and Snell Isle are iconic St. Pete destinations for couples looking to say their I do’s in a low key yet gorgeous environment.

Granada Terrace

This sweet location holds special meaning to me as my sister and her husband were married here- by me! I got to switch over to officiant me and pronounce them husband and wife. Definitely a top 5 moment in my life so I thought it best to start here. The bougainvillea in bloom during most of spring and summer is stunning and the 360º views are perfect for your guests and photos. First light and golden hour before sunset offer the best lighting options.

Coffee Pot Boat Launch

Yes, I know it sounds crazy but this boat launch is rarely used and actually across the street from where your ceremony would take place. It is also just down the block from Granada Terrace. You have the waterfront views, the beautiful cover and in the spring and summer, the flowers are all the decor you would need! The sunrise and light shortly after is absolutely gorgeous here.

Snell Isle Park

This beautiful park is situated directly in front of the Vinoy Golf Club and down the street from the St. Pete Womens Club- 2 perfect venues for weddings with a few more guests, if you were to have more. Otherwise, if it’s just you, your beloved and your officiant, this park offers a couple different backdrops for you to elope. The greenery is in place year round and the gazebo was freshly refurbished in 2019! Again, golden hours are your best bet for the perfect light. Because it is the entrance and exit point to a neighborhood, rush hours would be a factor to consider.

Logistics

Now for the serious stuff. These are all city parks which means permits are recommended, especially if you want to ensure privacy. That little piece of paper means you can kick out anyone else who invades your happy place. To apply, visit the city website here: http://www.stpeteparksrec.org/rentals/parks/. All the info on rules and pricing can be found there.  As soon as it is safe, I will be venturing out to capture the rest of the perfectly pretty places for your pronouncement! If you have any questions, or would like to see more, feel free to contact me.

Laguna Beach Wedding Day – Stephanie & John’s Real Destination Wedding

There are so many things I love about this wedding- most of all the two who married! Stephanie & John are dear friends who are not only completely and gorgeously in love with each other, but they are also photographers. So uh, no stress, right? Seriously though, I was delighted that they asked me to capture their amazing destination wedding day. We created breathtaking portraits the following day too- but they deserve their own post so stay tuned!

Their details were curated by the amazing Michelle Isabel of Michelle Isabel Co, and they are stunning! Elegant, refined, but with a bit of whimsy- just like the couple themselves. Some are simply brilliant, like the protected taper candles to block the wind, and some are just fun, like the totally lit signature drink. Because Stephanie and John live in Florida and had to plan their destination wedding from afar, Michelle’s organization was absolutely necessary. As anyone who has planned a long distance wedding will tell you, having a professional on site and able to handle things locally is priceless. Their day was flawless and so much fun! It goes down as one of my all time favorite weddings- ever.
